How to capture ideas, raise them in Rooms, work with other people, and manage your membership on iPhone, Android, and the web.

In the app, choose Apple, Google, GitHub, or your email (we send you a 6-digit code). On the website, type your email and we send you a sign-in link. There’s no password to remember.
Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your email. In the app, open Settings, then Account, then Add your email, and confirm it with the code we send. After that, sign in on the website with that email.
The app has three tabs: Ideas (your ideas and Rooms), Capture (the + button), and Community. On the website, the header has Ideas, Groups, and Community, and you capture with the yellow + on Ideas. Settings, including My page, sit behind the gear.
In the app, tap Capture. On the website, press the yellow + on your Ideas page, or press N. Type the idea and save it. It’s saved privately with a timestamp the moment you do.
Only you, until you decide otherwise. Ideas are private by default. You can share one with collaborators, publish it to the Community, or put it on your public page later.
You can keep up to seven ideas Alive at once: the ones you’re actively raising. The rest nap safely in your Ideas until you wake them up. Focus is the point.
Yes. Edit it as much as you like. Your proof receipt keeps the original title, text, and time, so later edits never change what you can prove you had first.
A Room is where an idea grows: its writing, versions, next steps, and the people working on it. Open any idea and choose Develop this idea to give it a Room.
Each Room has a format that sets up the right tools: Home Room, Writing, Film, Creative, Business, Event, Research, Memories, Game Room, Job Board, Mastermind, and Growth Lab. A Film Room, for example, has a screenplay, scenes, characters, and a table read.
Yes. In the app, open the Room’s ••• menu and choose Edit tools to switch tools on or off. If you like a setup, choose Save as a format and it appears under Yours whenever you start a new Room.
Yes. Every save is kept as a version. In the app, open the Room’s ••• menu, then History. On the website, open Idea versions. You can read any earlier version and copy from it.
Film Rooms export a standard screenplay PDF, and Rooms can be saved as text. For a copy of everything in your account, email us.
Open the Room and choose Invite. Find people by name, @handle, or email, or share a join link or QR code. A Room holds up to 15 people besides its owner. Pending invitations hold a seat.
No. People you invite edit your Room free for as long as you’re a member. If your membership ends, they can keep writing for 72 hours so nobody loses work mid-project. Starting Rooms of their own needs their own membership.
Yes. Anyone in the Room can write at any time, and saves merge line by line. If you both changed the same line, you choose: Keep theirs, Keep both, or Keep mine. On Android, the current app still takes turns; the next update brings writing together.
Editors can write and change the Room. Viewers can read everything and choose Ask to edit if they’d like to help. The owner can switch anyone between editor and viewer in the Room’s people list.
A group is a saved set of people who share a set of Rooms. Joining a group makes you an editor in every Room in it, including Rooms added later. Making a group needs a membership; joining one is free.
Open the link you were sent and follow the steps; it takes about a minute and you won’t be asked to pay. Our guide to joining a Room walks through it.
Open the idea’s sharing options. Ask the community publishes it to Community, with a question you’d like feedback on. Reader link shares a view-only copy without access to your Room. Add to My page puts it on your public page. You can remove an idea from the Community at any time.
Mark a public idea Free to Build to let someone else adopt it and make it. You can set it now or schedule it for a date.
Your public page: your name, a short introduction, your links, and the public ideas you choose, in the order you choose. Nothing is added to it automatically. Edit it from Settings.
Anyone signed in can browse it. Visitors who aren’t signed in see a short preview of the most-loved ideas.
Anyone can leave a heart on a public idea, even without an account. Signed-in accounts can rate ideas, and members can comment. They’re how the community tells a creator what’s working.
Yes. Public ideas and pages that have some substance or community activity can appear in search engines such as Google. Private ideas and Rooms never do.
Ideas published to the Community get an automatic safety check. Most are published straight away; a few are held for a person on our team to look at. If an idea isn’t published, it stays private and nothing is lost.
Every capture gets a timestamped, cryptographically signed receipt of its original title and text. It’s your record that you had the idea, and when. Edits later never change it.
A public idea’s page shows its receipt with a Verify this receipt link, and anyone can check it without an account. Each day we also publish a summary of that day’s receipts on GitHub, made only of hashes, never your content or identity. In the app, the idea’s sharing options let you download or share the receipt.
New members try it free for 14 days. Then it’s US $9.99 a month or US $79.99 a year. The trial is once per person. Beta price until 1 January 2027, locked in for as long as you stay. See membership.
One thing: Run something real on it and tell us what broke. A page that didn’t load, a number that was wrong, a step that made no sense. Email [email protected] with what you were doing and what happened. That’s the whole deal, and your price stays where it is for as long as you keep your membership.
Browse and rate in the Community, leave hearts, open shared links, and work in Rooms and groups you’re invited to. Capturing ideas, your own Rooms, proof receipts, publishing, commenting, My page, and making groups come with a membership.
In the iPhone app, the Android app, or on the website at ideababydaycare.com/membership. One membership works everywhere. Website charges appear on your statement as MECHBLOCKS, CORP.
Cancel where you bought it. Website: Settings, then Membership, then Manage membership. iPhone: the iPhone Settings app, then your name, then Subscriptions. Android: Subscriptions in the Google Play Store. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription.
We don’t refund partial periods. If you were charged by mistake, email us within 14 days. Apple and Google handle refunds for purchases made in their stores.
Go to ideababydaycare.com/redeem, sign in, and enter it. No card needed. Each code works once.
What’s needed to run Idea Baby Daycare: your sign-in details, your ideas and Rooms, your votes and comments, and how you use the app. Our public pages also use Google Analytics to count visits. We don’t sell your data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Only with the providers that help us run the service, such as hosting, email, payments, AI assists, error monitoring, and Google Analytics on our public pages, and only what each one needs. Your data is never sold. The full list is in our Privacy Policy.
For assists you ask for, like a next step or help organizing a Room, for reading a score from a photo in a Game Room, and for an automatic safety check on ideas published to the Community. Only the content involved in each request is sent, and it isn’t used to train AI models. AI can be wrong, so check what it suggests.
In a Room, open ••• and choose Report a problem in the app, or use Report a problem in the People panel on the website. You can also report ideas, comments, and people in the Community. Reports are private: the person isn’t told who sent one.
Yes. Choose Block User on their profile or on one of their comments in the app. A blocked person can’t invite you to Rooms or groups. To undo a block, email us.
In the app, open the Room’s ••• menu and choose Leave this Room. On the website, use Leave this Room in the People panel. Your contributions stay credited to you.
You need to be 13 or older to use Idea Baby Daycare. Buying a membership needs you to be 18, or to have a parent’s permission.
In the app, open Settings and edit your profile. Apple only shares your name the first time you sign in, so if yours shows as “User”, change your display name there.
In the app, open Settings, then Notifications, to choose what reaches you. Creative rhythm sets daily or weekly email reminders. You can also turn off push notifications in your phone’s settings.
In the app, Settings, then Sign out. On the website, Settings, then Sign out or Switch account.
In the app, open Settings, then Account, then Delete Account, and confirm. Or email us and we’ll do it. Your account, ideas, profile, and Community activity are removed. What you wrote in other people’s Rooms stays there, marked as from a former member. Payment and tax records are kept as the law requires.
Yes. Email us and we’ll send you a copy of your information.
Sign-in links last 15 minutes and work once, so a link opened twice (for example, by an email scanner) can expire. Ask for a new one from the page it shows you.
Update the app from the App Store or Google Play. New Room features reach the iPhone app and the website first, and the Android app with its next update.
